The Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Consultant is located in the UNFPA South Sudan Country Office in Juba, South Sudan, and reports to the Deputy Representative. S/he plans, manages and monitors the full range of SRH programme work of the Country Office. Under the overall oversight of the UNFPA Representative and with the direct supervision and guidance of the Deputy Representative, the SRH Technical Consultant will have the responsibility for coordinating the planning and implementation of the SRH Programme geared towards the reduction of maternal and newborn mortality and morbidity as well as HIV/AIDS prevention in South Sudan. S/he manages the annual planning of the SRH programme, including support to the Ministry of Health and Implementing partners to develop their annual work plans. In addition the SRH Consultant works with other UN Agencies in the development of the UN Interim Cooperation framework as well as UNFPA country programme. S/he contributes to the establishment of partnerships with government, professional bodies, national institutions, United Nations partners and other development partners aiming to support the SRH programme in South Sudan.
