5400 child marriages in Namibia since 2011, according to UN

Children as young as 11 years old are being forced into marriage in Namibia. Legal drafters from SADC Member States gathered together in Johannesburg recently to approve the draft Model Law on Eradicating Child Marriage and Protecting Children Already in Marriage.
