Malawi is a country of more than 18 million people, more than half of whom are under the age of 18. UNFPA, the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency, is working to ensure that young people in Malawi can reach their full potential, to drive social and economic development in the country. That's why it's vital that young people have access to education - particularly girls. UNFPA is pioneering initiatives to make sure that girls stay in school. One of them, called Safe Space, trains women and girls to be mentors to their peers.
