This month, UNFPA launched its Innovation and Digital Transformation strategy for East and Southern Africa to strengthen women and girls ability to access sexual and reproductive health services in remote and hard-to-reach areas. Using technology and data, this forms part of our efforts to reduce maternal and newborn deaths by improving quality and continuity of care. This strategy prioritizes people-centred design and community engagement, and in doing so, sets a new standard for using digital technology to address these pressing health challenges.
