National Survey on Availability of Modern Contraceptives and Essential Life Saving Maternal/RH Medicines in Service Delivery Points in Ethiopia
Since 2007, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has been supporting the strengthening and mainstreaming of reproductive health commodity security (RHCS) into the existing health system through the Global Programme to Enhance Reproductive Health Commodity Security (GPRHCS). The purpose is to provide special support to close gaps in reaching the targets set by the Health Sector Development Plan and the health MDGs.
UNFPA Annual Report 2010
Donor contributions to UNFPA and other income in 2010 reached a record $870 million, up from $783 million a year earlier, according to the UNFPA Annual Report 2010, which also shows that 21 donors each made contributions exceeding $1 million and that the contribution from the Netherlands—UNFPA’s largest donor in 2010—totalled more than $119 million.
Kenya: Advancing the Sexual & Reproductive Health & Human Rights of People Living With HIV
The main purpose of this study was to assess information about sexual and reproductive health and rights, especially PMTCT needs and experiences of people with HIV (PLHIV) in Kenya in order to inform efforts aimed at increasing access to SRHR services for people living with HIV. The overall objective of this study was to implement mapping tools which have been developed by and for PLHIV to gather evidence about key issues that affect PLHIV for the purpose of advocacy for PLHIV networks. The study makes findings in three thematic areas - policy framework for HIV/AIDS/PMTCT in Kenya, health systems and service delivery.

Zambia: Advancing the Sexual & Reproductive Health & Human rights of People Living with HIV
With improved access to treatment for people living with HIV, many are now able to live longer. As a result, there is growing interest in overall quality of life issues. In many countries, attention is increasingly being drawn to the unique and often neglected needs of different sub-groups, including young people. This exploratory qualitiative study sought to examine the sexual and reproductive health (SRH) needs, concerns and barriers to accessing related services for adolescents aged 10-19 years living with HIV in Zambia. It discusses findings and makes recommendations.
Nigeria: Advancing the Sexual & Reproductive Health & Human Rights of People Living With HIV
People living with HIV have the right to healthy, satisfying sex lives, and need both laws to protect this right and appropriate services to promote and ensure their sexual and reproductive health. Decision-makers and service providers must recognize that people living with HIV enter into relationships to have sex and to have children. Ensuring that they can do these things safely is key to maintaining their health, and that of their partners and families.
Kenya Service Provision Assessment Survey (2010 KSPA)
This report presents the findings of the 2010 Kenya Service Provision Assessment (KSPA) Survey, which was implemented by the National Co-ordinating Agency for Population and Development in collaboration with the Ministry of Medical Services, the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation, and the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics. ICF Macro provided technical assistance.
The 2010 KSPA is part of the worldwide MEASURE DHS project, which assists countries in the collection of data to monitor and evaluate population, health and nutrition programmes.
