This year’s International Dialogue will focus on challenges and opportunities to create youth employment and to realize the demographic dividend, using best practice examples from Bangladesh, Egypt, Kenya and Indonesia. The Dialogue provides a platform for young people, relevant policy makers, international and non-governmental organizations as well as private sector representatives to exchange up to date knowledge and practical experiences on the creation of youth employment in an open dialogue. Expected outcomes are recommendations on strategies and policies to facilitate young people’s and esp. girls’ and young women’s access to the labour market.
The conference is jointly organized by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, DSW (Deutsche Stiftung Weltbevoelkerung), International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) and KfW Entwicklungsbank, and in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and Bayer HeathCare Pharmaceuticals. It will bring together 60-80 invited experts.
