The importance of menstrual health cannot be overstated as it is a critical component in achieving gender equality and the realization of SRHR. To manage menstrual experiences safely and with dignity, it is crucial that girls, women and people who menstruate have access to reliable, accurate and comprehensive information, sufficient health care facilities and affordable menstrual absorbents. Additionally, it is essential to create emotionally and physically supportive environments at schools and in families to enable women and girls to manage menstruation effectively and without shame.
