Meeting of High-level Panel on Post-2015 Development Agenda
The United Nations Secretary-General appointed a High-level Panel of Eminent Persons in July 2012 to advise on the global development agenda beyond 2015, the target date for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
The UN High-level Panel on post-2015 will provide recommendations on possible components of a post-2015 UN development agenda, as well as to contribute to the overall political process.

Comprehensive Condom Programming Capacity Building Workshop for Eastern and Southern Africa
An assessment of Reproductive Health Commodity Security (RHCS) and Comprehensive Condom Programming (CCP) was carried out in 20 countries in the Southern and Eastern Africa (ESA) sub-region in May/June 2011.
The assessment findings and validation meeting highlighted a number of important achievements and challenges that showed capacity gaps. The important role played by UNFPA in providing technical and financial support and in some cases direct procurement was highlighted and acknowledged as an important component of condom programming in most countries.

Convening Regional Economic Commissions (RECs) to follow up on Post-Shipment Testing of Condoms and Quality Assurance of Reproductive Health Commodities
Governments are duty-bound to ensure the safety of their citizens by ensuring the quality of medicines, medical devices and other products that are shipped to their countries, including condoms. This duty is shared by all development partners, including UNFPA, who procure commodities for countries. To this end, stringent measures are taken to ensure that commodities procured for distribution to recipient countries are of the highest quality possible.
